Have any of you ever read Persuasion, by Jane Austen? I don't think I would have appreciated it 10 years ago. But now that I'm getting older, I have reread it. I think it is truly beautiful. The pain and anguish of loving for 8 years, "loving when all hope is gone." It's so much more real than the other books.
However, the films aren't quite as good. I wish I could take a part from the '70s and add it to the one from the '90s with a few scenes from the '00s. Who knows.... Maybe someone will remake it in 15 years.
